Classes held at The Show Gallery Lowertown are taught by local teaching artists and explore everything from fine arts to improv comedy.   • Stephen Workman Exodus 2 Past Class

    Workshop — Mixed–media Encaustic Painting

    This workshop was taught by Stephen D. Workman of Workman Studio 611. He is a retired college professor who has been teaching for over 20 years. He covered: the safe use of encaustic materials; how to paint, layer, and fuse the wax; embedding images and objects in your paintings; what you need to make encaustic paintings in your own studio; how to have fun with the wax.

    Join us at The Show Gallery Lowertown for an all levels yoga class accompanied by live guitar. Proceeds will go to the arts program at Midwest Special Services. All are welcome!

    Each workshop is designed to allow school-age kids the opportunity to explore their own creativity and experiment with various media including collaborative collage, ink and pastel, and watercolor painting!
